چکیده

Background. The purpose of the study is to analyze content free fatty acids (FFA) in blood serum overweight and underweight patients with gastrointestinal diseases. Materials methods. Thirty-one diseases were examined, 19 (61.3 %) men 12 (38.7 women a median age 39 (27; 48) years. Depending on results body composition multifunctional monitor TANITA MC-780MA (Japan), they divided into following groups: (body mass index (BMI) more than 25.0 kg/m2) persons (BMI below 18.5 kg/m2). Determination FFA spectrum was carried out using gas chromatograph flame ionization detector Chromatek-Crystal 5000. control group consisted 16 practically healthy people. Statistical processing Statistica 6.1 application program package. Results. Patients change weight reported statistically significant decrease total short-chain saturated (C4:0) mainly due butyric acid by 67 times (p = 0.001) increased BMI 114 0.002) decreased compared controls. At same time, analysis an average carbon chain length showed probable increase capric 14 < 0.01), undecyl lauric 25 changes weight. caproic excessive 3.9 0.046) controls 2.6 > 0.05) patients. monounsaturated significantly 32 0.001), respectively, polyunsaturated both groups found trace amount.
